New Equipment

I have been taking a break from filming over the past few weeks, but I have been busy researching and purchasing some new filming and production equipment. I touched on this subject in a recent video, among my new toys is a new media creator's laptop. I have already upgraded the laptop RAM to 64gb, it has a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, i7 11th edition processor, and 2tb SSD hard drive, I think this may help me cut down on my post-production workflow in the near future.

Furthermore, I also purchased an Insta360 ONE X2, however, having recorded some test footage in 360 5.7K resolution, I was disappointed to find that after editing the footage in the insta app, you can only export it in 1080p, not 2 or 4K. I also found the footage quite grainy, so the  Insta360 ONE X2 is boxed up and on its merry way back to the supplier.

My last purchase was two 2tb external SSD hard drives as a backup, and to store 4K projects and videos

Yes, this is a bit of a geek post, but there is a lot more to producing half-decent videos than point and shoot.

My new laptop. I have already upgraded the RAM, and added an extra TB of memory.
