Andes inflatable kayak storage bag For The Story Ranger 1

As anyone that owns a Ranger 1 kayak will know, the kayak come in an awful envelope type bag which is secured shut by four straps and D-rings. Yes, the kayak fits neatly into this wrap-around bag on delivery, but once inflated and deflated it no longer fits neatly back into the bag. So, with this in mind, here is a cheap alternative bag.

Main Compartment:

In the main compartment, I have managed to fit the kayak, Seat, Buoyancy aid, and the Gel pad for under the seat.

I do not use the standard inflatable pump, however, I am sure there is room for the pump, along with a few other small items such as wet shoes, etc.

Outer Pocket:

In the outer pocket, I have two skegs, the footrest, my bow and stern line, a repair kit, and a micro fibre towel.

Now I cannot vouch for the longevity of the material or zip of the bag, but at £12.99 it is worth a try. I feel that provided you do not tug at the zip while closing the bag, this bag could be ideal for storing and transporting the Story Ranger one kayak and all the relevant accessories.

  • One large main compartment for the kayak and one smaller front pocket which is ideal for pumps and accessories.
  • Two carry handles.
  • Made from tough, durable polyester W: 80cm (31.5") x D: 40cm (15.5") x H: 50cm (19.5")

This kayak/storage bag is currently £12.99 on amazon.
