Back To Work Next Week:

Well, having taken three years off of work to find and redefine myself I am embarking on a new career as of next Monday, Yes, at 64 years old, a complete change of direction in a job that I hope will prove worthwhile and help other people.  I will be working 24/7 rotating shifts in a demanding job, so my leisure pursuits will need planning to fit around my shift pattern. At present, I cannot say how often I will be recording and uploading videos to my YouTube channel, but I think in the first six months (after my initial training)  my videos will mainly be day walks in Kent/East Sussex, a couple of woodland and riverbank overnight wild camps, and kayaking rivers, and canals in the South East of England.  Strangely, it is possible that with preparation and careful time management, I may even be uploading more videos than in the past after my initial training period.

I do hope that those that have subscribed to my channel and supported me so far will stick with me, and I will also still pick up some new supporters while I ease myself in, and find my feet in my new position within the NHS Trust.

My longer-term game plan is to go part-time in about two years, which will allow me more time to plan longer hiking, camping, and kayaking trips, but trips out wild camping on Dartmoor and similar locations will be planned during my annual leave in the meantime.

All the best
