Exploring Devon - The Valley Of The Rocks (Drone Footage)

Walking through this valley at a height of 400ft (122 m), the wind speed registered at 39km/h (24mph), with gusts up to 49km/h (36.5mph). This meant the audio from my mic was not usable. The wind and the valley being lit up like a solar flare made flying my sub 250g drone and capturing footage very difficult.

This 30-minute flight over the cliffs and around Castle Rock was problematic and scary, to say the least, but I hope you enjoy this short 7-minute video.

This fascinating valley is a U-shaped dry valley parallel to the sea. It lies about ½ mile to the west of Lynton. The extraordinary features of the Valley have long attracted artists and writers who sought inspiration from the majesty of nature.
