Update / Coming Up: Viking Coastal Trail & Oyster Bay Trail.

After a truly draining weekend at work, I'm currently enjoying a much-needed rest day, though it's also given me ample time to question a few of my life choices! Thankfully, a change of scenery and some fresh air are on the horizon, as I'm planning a restorative bike ride along the Kent coast this Wednesday. My route options are either from Reculver to Whitstable or from Reculver to Margate, both following the picturesque National Cycle Network (NCN) route 15. The scenery along this stretch of coastline promises to be absolutely stunning, and I'm particularly hoping for calm winds, which would allow me to capture some incredible drone footage of the historic Reculver Towers, the ancient Roman Fort, and the beautiful coastal bays, hopefully providing the perfect antidote to my recent work-induced fatigue.

Cycling has become a very therapeutic activity for me, significantly improving my knee mobility and reducing pain. I also experience a wonderful sense of both mental and physical freedom while riding on peaceful roads and trails.
