2020 - First Trip Out

Spring 2020 may seem like it's a long time away right now but it's never to early to start planning.

On my “to do” list this the coming week.

• Prepare/check and clean my kayak and equipment.
• Check my tent and camping equipment
• Check and clean camera and action cam
• Carry out a software update for my drone and lipo batteries.
• Weather permitting, test fly my drone.
• Source and purchase a new 2 person lightweight backpacking tent.

Fingers crossed, my first adventure out will be an overnight kayak camping trip at Oak Weir Lock on the River Medway before Easter. This trip was originally planned for last September, but I pulled a muscle in my chest and with five locks to portage downstream and then back upstream carrying all my kit, this trip (sensibly) was put on the back burner.
