I have gone to ground over the past few weeks due to a few minor personal issues, and the deaths of two people I have known for many years.
However, I have just got to pick myself up and dust myself off. So, these are my plans for the rest of October. 2021:
Tomorrow I will be filming and walking the section of the Darenth Valley Path between my home in South Darenth and Dartford. Also, later in the week, I am hoping to get out on the paddle on the River Medway, this will be either the section of the river between Yalding and Sluice Weir Lock (4.5 miles) or Teston Lock to Yalding (6 miles).
Later in the month, I am planning on getting out for two nights of woodland solo wild camping. This camp out will be within two hundred acres of woodland with the owner's permission at an undisclosed location in Kent. The plan is to set up my 4x4 tarp as a lean-to shelter for cover in case it rains, pitch my backpacking tent, and cook my meals over an open fire. Obviously, I will be taking a few walks through the woods and vlogging this trip.
Late October/early November, I will be out walking on the Kent downs at Wye. This walk will take in Wye Crown and the Devil’s Kneading Trough, which is the largest and most famous of the steep-sided dry valleys that characterise the hills of the Downs.
The inclement weather may mean that I am unable to carry out all these planned trips, however, I will do my dammed best.
Lots coming up, including reviews on some new equipment I have recently purchased and yet to try out. This equipment/kit includes a new lightweight tripod, a new kayak roller bag, and the Rode Wireless Go microphone.
