Lighting upgrade for my Fluval Flex 2 O 57 Litre Aquarium

Day 8 of cycling my tank, and while I patiently wait for beneficial bacteria to establish, I’m fine-tuning the environment to ensure a thriving ecosystem. My current lighting routine is a highlight of the setup, with sunrise mode creating a gentle, natural transition each morning. From 6 to 10 am, the lights gradually ramp up in intensity, mimicking dawn and easing aquatic life into the day. At 10:15 am, the Fluval light activates at 60% brightness, supplementing the base illumination for optimal plant growth and visibility without overwhelming the tank. This light remains on until 6 pm, after which the Hygger light seamlessly transitions into sunset mode, softening the glow and dimming over four hours to mirror dusk, ideal for winding down nocturnal species. Balancing automation with care, this carefully timed cycle not only supports the nitrogen cycle’s progress but also nurtures a stable, natural rhythm for my future aquatic community. Every detail matters, and upgrading the lighting setup is one more step toward a vibrant, healthy tank.
