A short video set to music from some footage I captured while on a circular walk that I planned from Eynsford Riverside via Lullingstone Castle. Unfortunately, the walk was cut short as on route I damaged a lens on my brand new Insta360 camera.
The intended walk should have taken in the views over the surrounding countryside from Eagle Height Bird Sanctuary, Lullingstone Castle, the River Darent from Lullingstone to Lullingstone Country Park, The Roman Villa, Eynsford Viaduct, and Eynsford Castle which is closed at present for a structural survey. Not to worry, I will get out on this walk real soon.
I decided to produce this video to get some practice using the Insta360 Studio software while my camera is away for repair. My camera is en route to Hong Kong for a lens replacement, but I still intend to get out and about with my other cameras while I await its return.
Do you remember this piece of music?
This piece of music by Francisco Tarrega was the theme tune to the weekly TV program 'Out of Town', although the version played on the opening and closing credits is played by Andres Segovia and retitled 'Tremolo Study' The program was first broadcast in 1959, and this documentary program about life in the rural countryside ran for 24 years. The presenter Jack Hargreaves OBE (1911-1994) was amongst the best-known and most popular television broadcasters of the day. My father loved Out of Town, and I have extremely fond memories of sitting and watching this program with him all those years ago.
